What is ABA Coaching?
ABA Coaching gives you and your family hands-on guidance from our clinical team, who teach simple, practical strategies to improve your child’s behaviour and learning. Through personalized coaching, you will learn to teach your child new skills such as communication, social skills, daily routines, feeding, and sleep, while addressing any barriers or challenges that may arise. Together, we will help you set clear expectations, motivate your child, and confidently support their independence and growth at home, school, and in the community.
How Does it Work
1. Identify Your Goals
We explore what matters most to you and your child and identify your priorities and desired outcomes.
2. Assess Your Child’s Strengths
We observe what your child does well and identify areas where they may need extra support.
3. Create a Personalized Plan
Your Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A.) designs a plan that fits your child’s skills, environment, and your family’s daily routines.
4. Join Regular Coaching Sessions
You’ll meet with your R.B.A. to practise strategies, problem-solve challenges, and apply skills at home, school, and in the community.
5. Receive Ongoing Support
As your child grows and situations change, we adjust the plan to keep progress on track.
What to Expect
Through personalized coaching, you’ll gain tools and confidence to support your child’s growth in daily life. You will learn to:
✓ Set clear, realistic expectations for your child
✓ Encourage positive behaviour and reduce challenging situations
✓ Strengthen communication and independence in routines like meals, school, and community activities
✓ Build your confidence in applying strategies effectively at home and beyond
Your R.B.A. focuses on your family’s priorities, ensuring their guidance is practical, actionable, and relevant to real-life challenges, not just during coaching sessions.
