Parents & Caregivers

This section includes tips, resources and information about what workshops are best suited for you!

Kinark has been a leader in providing services and supports to children and youth with autism and their families for over 20 years.

Our team provides a variety of virtual workshops and trainings every week for families.  We offer these sessions on a range of topics where families commonly request additional support. You can view our upcoming workshops and events here.

We also offer sessions that help families navigate community resources and the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). To learn more about our Information and Resource Sessions, click here

At Kinark, we understand the importance of addressing common questions and sharing helpful information. This is done through open forums, such as our Ask a School Consultant and Ask a Psychologist sessions. These sessions are offered live, pre-recorded and occasionally in French to ensure they are available for families to access them.

Through Kinark, families can also access our Brief Behavioural Consultation service if they require additional individual assistance when implementing what they have learned in our workshops at home and in the community.

As parents and caregivers, it is important to feel connected and heard, which is why we facilitate support groups and social evenings that allow you to connect with others who may share your experiences and challenges.
