ABA Coaching Services

Are you looking for individualized coaching with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to better support your child or youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We are here to help!

Kinark’s ABA Coaching is available to families of children and youth under the age of 18 with a diagnosis of ASD. This service provides caregivers with ongoing coaching individualized to the strengths and needs of their child.

During these sessions, a BCBA Clinician will meet with parents and caregivers virtually or in-person (in Markham, Richmond Hill, Barrie, Etobicoke, Thornhill or Oshawa) to identify goals and provide individualized strategies based on the principles of ABA. Caregivers will also receive specific resources to better equip them in supporting their child.

Our BCBA clinicians will develop a customized service plan and use Behaviour Skills Training (BST) throughout coaching sessions. BST is an evidence-based approach to coaching that includes identifying and explaining individualized strategies, modeling those strategies, requesting parents and caregivers to demonstrate the strategies, and providing specific feedback.

Goals supported in this service may include:

  • ABA-based strategies and techniques that require ongoing evaluation and modification to support complex goals and skills (when clinically appropriate), including:
    • Communication skills including early requesting skills
    • Attending to and following instructions
    • Executive functioning skills
    • Emotional regulation skills
    • Self-care or hygiene skills
    • Transition protocols
    • Feeding procedures
