Does my child/youth need a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or referral to access your services?

Kinark provides services to children and youth diagnosed with autism and their families.  If your child has not been diagnosed and you are looking for more information, please visit our Early Signs page or  request a free consultation here.

What programs and services do you offer?

Kinark Autism Services provides a range of Foundational Family Services, individual and group Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Services, Psychological Consultations and Assessments, Individual Counselling, Service Navigation and Coordination, as well as parent and caregiver training and workshops to individuals and families. Please visit our services page to learn more about the specific programs and services available.

How do I register for upcoming workshops and events?

You can view a full list of our upcoming workshops at our events calendar here. Once you select an event you are interested in, it will provide you with additional information and how to register.

What are Foundational Family Services?

In August 2020, the Ontario Government announced foundational family services for children and youth with autism and their families. Kinark Autism Services offers a range free foundational family services for children and youth with autism, and much needed complementary programs for their parents, caregivers and siblings. How much do programs and services cost through Kinark Autism Services?

Kinark Autism Services provides a variety of publicly funded, foundational family services free of charge to families registered in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Our team also provides various fee for service options depending on your family’s unique needs. Where does Kinark Autism Services operate?

Does Kinark Autism Services provide services to adults?

Kinark Autism Services supports clients and families in their transition to adulthood. To learn more about this support, please contact us at 1-800-283-3377 or request a free consultation here.

What languages does Kinark Autism Services provide services in?

Kinark Autism Services delivers our programs and services primarily in English. Some services are also available in French, Mandarin, Tamil, and Cantonese.  Please contact us at 1-800-283-3377 for more information.

How long does it take to receive services through Kinark?

Our ability to provide direct services for children and youth with autism and their families is dependent on demand and our capacity. If you would like to learn more about accessing our services, please contact us at 1-800-283-3377 or request a free consultation here.

Our team of skilled clinicians also run a variety of free workshops, training, and drop in events weekly, for which families can register based on their unique needs. Visit our Events page to view upcoming workshops.

Can I use my health insurance to pay for services?

Some of our services may be eligible for reimbursement through private insurance providers. Please speak with your insurer and a Kinark Representative for more information 1-800-283-3377 or request a free consultation here

My child is not registered in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). How do I register?

You can register your child by contacting the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services Central Intake Registration Team at 1-888-444-4530 or by completing this form.

I have questions about the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Where can I get support?

We understand it can be difficult navigating the OAP and our team is here to help. You can register for one of our upcoming Information and Resource Sessions here. How is my/my child’s information stored and used?

We are committed to meeting the highest standards with respect to the collection, use, disclosure, storage, retention, and destruction of the personal health information of clients. We are committed to meeting or exceeding the privacy standards established by the Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) and relevant legislation, including the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
