Parents & Caregivers
Kinark Autism Services is here to help parents and caregivers support their children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Kinark has worked in partnership with children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families for more than 20 years. Our mission is to help children and youth with complex needs achieve better life outcomes.
At Kinark Autism Services, we are here to support you when finding the appropriate resources and supports in your community.
Our team provides a variety of free virtual workshops and training sessions on a range of topics for families. Our upcoming workshops and events can be found here.
Below are workshops on topics most frequently requested by families:
Navigating the Ontario Autism Program (OAP): We offer free sessions to help families navigate the OAP, including its recent changes. We also offer sessions to help families with finding resources within their community. To learn more about our Information and Resource Sessions, click here.
Open Forums: We understand that families have many questions about ASD and the supports available to them. This is why we offer free interactive sessions to help answer specific questions. Examples of open forums are Ask a School Consultant and Ask a Service Navigator.
Brief Behavioural Consultation Service: Kinark Autism Services offers free Brief Behavioural Consultations to families needing help with implementing what they have learned through our workshops.
Social Time: We recognize how important it is for parents and caregivers to feel supported and heard, and connect with others who may share similar experiences and challenges. As a result, we offer a series social time sessions, click here for the calendar of events.
